  2. Looking for Star Trek fonts in MS-Windows TrueType format?

  4. I have begun a search....
  5.  
  6. Since the Macintosh platform have Star Trek fonts, I have begun to
  7. convert
  8. those fonts over to TrueType format for use in the Microsoft Windows
  9. 3.1
  10. environment.  Assistance from other Mac users has been nearly non-existent
  11. ("Why ask why?") so I've decided to utilize some of my time, resources
  12. and
  13. money to get these fonts and convert them over to Windows.
  14.  
  15. Included in this .ZIP package is the Trek font, CRILL1.
  16.  
  17. CRILL1 I'll take partial credit (or blame) for.  I originally downloaded
  18. this font
  19. from the DTP Roundtable on GEnie.  It was in Adobe Type 1 format,
  20. known as
  21. Crillee.  Using FontMonger For Windows, I converted it over to TrueType.
  22. It
  23. resembles the font used for the credits for Star Trek: The Next Generation.

  25. Copy this file over to a subdirectory on your hard disk.  Just to
  26. be on the safe
  27. side, create a fonts subdirectory so that you don't accidentally
  28. nuke any existing
  29. fonts.  Refer to your Windows 3.1 manual on how to install additional
  30. TrueType
  31. fonts.
